The material is non-toxic, meaning harmful substances like formaldehyde must be within standard limits. For example, the formaldehyde content in the fabric of cinema seats should be less than 0.5mg/kg. 
Strong breathability is highly valued in cinema seat fabrics because once the audience sits down, for a short time of 90 minutes or as long as two to three hours, sitting for a long time with poor breathability can cause discomfort, heat, and even sweating, which is extremely detrimental to the viewing experience.
The fabric should be removable and washable. If the fabric cannot be removed for washing, it becomes very troublesome for the cinema because stains cannot be cleaned directly. If accidentally stained, it can only be treated on the spot, which is very inconvenient.
The fabric should not fade or pill. Even for clothing, we require no fading or pilling, let alone cinema seats used as public chairs. Poor-quality fabric easily pills and fades; cinema seats that have just been placed for a few days already pilling and fading will undoubtedly lower the cinema's grade.
