What is the difference between auditorium chairs with a foldable writing board and those without?

As the name suggests, a retractable writing board refers to a writing board that can be hidden away, generally also called a front-mounted writing board. The front-mounted writing board is concealed within the aluminum alloy armrest. To save space, retractable writing boards are chosen for auditorium and conference room chairs. The advantage of this retractable writing board is that it can be flipped out from the armrest when needed and tucked away when not in use, not occupying space and allowing easy passage for people. 
A non-retractable writing board is generally also called a rear-mounted writing board, usually installed on the backrest. Auditorium chairs with this rear-mounted writing board are typically used in multimedia classrooms or large lecture halls to facilitate students taking notes. However, when installing, a certain amount of usage space must be reserved, and the distance between rows needs to be slightly larger to ensure sufficient space during use.
Last time, we mentioned that the writing boards of Shen Shi auditorium chairs can be roughly divided into three types by material: black plastic PP writing boards; solid wood painted writing boards; and medium-density fiberboard with fireproof laminate writing boards. Generally, our writing boards are retractable. Recently, I have been asked about the differences between retractable and non-retractable writing boards for auditorium chairs.
