Adolescence is a period of growth, and student desks and chairs of appropriate size are beneficial to the healthy development of students. If the size of student desks and chairs is not suitable, it will adversely affect students' health. Desks and chairs that are too high will cause the distance between students' eyes and the desktop to be too close, leading to vision damage.

Desks and chairs that are too low will prevent students from maintaining an upright posture when sitting, resulting in spinal curvature. Attention should be paid to the following aspects: national standard sizes for student desks and chairs, the government should reasonably allocate funds to renovate school desks and chairs, and purchase different models of desks and chairs according to students' heights.
Nine-year compulsory education schools should gradually equip "adjustable" desks and chairs. For schools with limited financial resources, at least two different models of desks and chairs should be provided in each classroom. Education authorities should regard the improvement of school desk and chair configurations as an important part of routine school education management, conduct supervision and assessment, and notify those that do not meet the standards.
It is recommended to adjust the height of desks and chairs once or twice each semester to accommodate the monthly growth rate of primary and secondary school students. The height of various models of student desks and chairs differs from international standards, with seat heights being 20mm and 10mm lower respectively. Dimensions of primary and secondary school desks and chairs: desktop width (left to right) has been revised from the original 550mm~600mm (single use) and 1000mm~1200mm (double use) to 600mm and 1200mm respectively.
