Several well-known seat companies jointly advocate for the development of safe passenger seats
Recently, a special seminar on public welfare promotion of child passenger safety, organized by the "Child Passenger Safety" Work Promotion Office of the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (referred to as CATARC), was held in Tianjin. At the meeting, nearly 10 well-known child safety seat companies jointly called for November 8 to be designated as "Child Passenger Safety Day." The "Child Passenger Safety" Work Promotion Office is composed of multiple safety seat companies. Since its establishment, the office has been committed to promoting and advocating child passenger safety and striving for the development of public welfare related to child passenger safety in China. At the seminar, attending experts comprehensively and from multiple perspectives elaborated on the importance of improving child passenger safety in terms of concept promotion, product supervision, and market circulation. They called for the organization of relevant regulatory agencies in the future to supervise and manage the quality of products such as child safety seats; to increase publicity and raise public and related departments' awareness of child passenger safety; to accelerate the legislative process and promote the mandatory use of child safety seats in China. At the same time, they hope that relevant departments will improve standards and regulations for child passenger safety protection equipment, increase full-process testing of the production, sales, and after-sales service of child passenger safety equipment, and establish a complete and controllable system from raw materials, design, production, to sales, ensuring the healthy development of this industry. It is understood that in the future, first-tier cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou will pilot mandatory regulations on the use of child safety seats.
